Kaymac first came to FSA as a parent volunteer in 1998. In 2001, she joined the staff as the Administrative Assistant. Since then, Kaymac has served the school in a variety of functions, including technology, the media lab and development. Before coming to FSA, she worked in an investment counsel, in an architectural company, as a temp and as an administrative assistant for a parking company. Even though her son, Ian, graduated in 2007, Karen continues to contribute to the life of the student body by teaching exploratories that have ranged from business technology to jewelry making and natural skin care. Karen counts FSA as the only really meaningful job she’s had because she gets to be a part of a community that is dedicated to sending young people into the world with an education strong in academics and centered around Quaker testimonies and social justice.
