Pat is a long-time member of the Atlanta Friends Meeting and was on the committee that founded FSA, which she considers to be one of the most important things she has ever done. Pat is inspired by the Beloved Community each and every time she enters the building or attends a board meeting. She is most in awe of FSA’s alums, who are are clear about who they are and how they can contribute to the world.
Pat has served several six-year terms on the Board, and her husband, Joel Bowman, has also served the school as a trustee. Pat is a retired Professor of Literature at the University of Texas at Dallas. She now spends her time volunteering at the Midtown Neighbors Association and Fulbright Selection Committee.
