BA Biology (Dance minor) – Agnes Scott College
Master of Science in Health Services Administration (MSA) – Central Michigan University

Alvanita has significant experience creating, implementing and managing strategic plans for educational pathways. She served her alma mater, Agnes Scott College, for six years as Associate Director of Admission, and was more recently the Associate Director of College Counseling at The Weber School. Although she is the daughter of educators, Alvanita worked in health services for seven years at Blue Cross Blue Shield Georgia before transitioning to education. She remains active in her community, having served with the Junior League of Atlanta, The Greater North Atlanta Chapter of Jack & Jill, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as a Board member of The Magari Theatre and as a Eucharistic Minister at the Catholic Church of St. Monica. She learned about FSA from one of its founding members and is exciting about working with a wonderful group of people. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Alvanita is the proud mother of three children and their rescue Australian Shepard/chocolate lab.
