B.S. Early Childhood Education – University of Georgia
M.A. Educational Communications and Technology – New York University
After college, Jennifer taught fourth and fifth grade in Oconee County, Georgia, before deciding to pursue graduate studies in order to go deeper into the psychology of teaching and how creating with technology can play a motivational role in learning. While in graduate school, she was the Director of Programs at Vision Education and Media. She also developed LEGO robotics curriculum for that same company. At FSA, Jennifer teaches STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and Innovation including coding, building, design, robotics and engineering. She aims to empower students by allowing them to be creative in solving problems with creations and inventions of their own. She’s passionate about providing students opportunities to design, build and code with computational technologies because of the rich opportunities they provide to engage in higher level thinking skills. Aside from her work at FSA, Jennifer is also a communications and web development consultant.
