Since childhood, Krissa has always loved teaching, and working with children. She grew up near Niagara Falls, and moved to Atlanta in 2011. As a daughter of immigrants of Jamaican, Cuban, East Indian, and Syrian heritages, Krissa has always had a passion for languages, cultures, and teaching. Before joining FSA in 2021, Krissa taught French and Spanish to elementary-aged children for five years at private schools in Atlanta. She has also taught ESL to English language learners of all ages. Krissa has lived in France and England and has also loved teaching children about French culture. This is Krissa’s second year teaching Kindergarten at FSA, and she cherishes each connection she has with the children. In her spare time, Krissa sponsors children through Save the Children, and enjoys hiking, traveling, spending time with family, her boyfriend, friends, and volunteering with her sorority (Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.), through St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
