Admissions

Yes, we are living in uncertain times, but The Friends School of Atlanta (FSA) is preparing for and looking forward to the 2020-21 school year. We are still accepting applications, space permitting, for the current and 2021-22 academic years.  The application deadline for the financial aid consideration was February 1, 2021 and is no longer available. We continue to enroll PreK3 and PreK4 applicants on a rolling basis, space permitting.

Welcome! We are so pleased you are seeking out information about the admissions process at The Friends School of Atlanta. We recognize and acknowledge that the decision about where your child is educated is one of the most important decisions you will make. We welcome the chance to answer your questions and to connect you with a current parent or your child’s potential teacher. Please let us know how we can be of service. We encourage you to stay connected by joining us on Facebook and/or Instagram. You can also learn about the school’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic by visiting our page:  Values-Based Education for Challenging Times.

Our admissions policies reflect the Quaker values of simplicity, truth and equality as we strive to create a diverse learning community. We seek students with academic promise who will benefit from our learning experience and contribute distinctly to the vitality of the school. We are also committed to creating a community that is balanced in gender, ethnicity, race, religion, family structure and economic status.

Our program has three divisions:  PreK3- Kindergarten,  Elementary School (grades 1-4) and Middle School (grades 5-8). We offer regularly scheduled Parent Informational Tours, currently conducted virtually, that focus either on elementary or middle school. Take a look at our Tours and Open Houses for a date that works for you and make a reservation by creating an account on the common application platform called Ravenna.

We encourage you to continue to explore our website and to learn more about the school virtually or in person, depending on the safest practices recommended by public health authorities. We also welcome any questions you may have.

Alvanita Hope-Negrón, Director of Enrollment
