The Friends School of Atlanta (FSA) is one of 78 Friends schools nationwide. Guided by the centuries-old Quaker belief that every individual is of infinite worth, FSA provides so much more than an education to the children who must navigate this challenging world.
FSA’s educational program encourages children to grow into their goodness and gifts, not in competition with each other, but in community. FSA students embrace learning without fear of not being good enough. They learn to resolve conflicts without sacrificing respect for the other person. They make friends with and learn from others who don’t look and believe just as they do. They discover the rewards and responsibilities that come with being a member of a community. They are helped to find their voice, to believe in their voice and to have the courage to use their voice to advocate for peace and justice.
Through the FSA experience, the students not only develop the tools they need to learn and thrive, but also the conscience, conviction and compassion to find innovative solutions to programs, bridge divisions, nurture those in need and shine their own unique light.
