Jillian’s passion for teaching has never wavered, although it has evolved through the years. She previously taught preschool at Gallaudet University’s Kendall Demonstration School for three years. Upon relocating to Atlanta in 2010, Jillian spent seven years at Atlanta Area School for the Deaf teaching everything from preschool to fourth grade. Finding her way to Friends School allowed her to find her niche in working with second graders. Jillian has been using the SEE (Social, Emotional, and Ethical) Learning curriculum with her class since 2018 and became a SEE Learning Facilitator Trainer in 2020. She finds joy and purpose in integrating the concepts of body literacy, self-management, and mindfulness into her curriculum and lessons.
