Jennifer Dickie is a new member of the FSA board and a longtime fan of The Friends School of Atlanta. In 2021, After 12 years of teaching middle grades math and science in a K-8 school, Jennifer laid down teaching, discovering pretty quickly into her “retirement” that she really missed the daily work and play with young people! So, she signed up to substitute teach at FSA – a community of adults and children that she had always admired from the outside! Jennifer also stays connected with young people by volunteering and nurturing teens through the Southern Appalachian Young Friends Program [SAYF].
Jennifer is a convinced Friend and member of the Atlanta Friends Meeting currently serving as its clerk. She is a trained Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion [DE&I] facilitator and has collaborated to build and lead DE&I professional development for K-8 teachers and developed and implemented DE&I curriculum for middle grades students.
